I have been in charge of gyms for more than 7 years already and had to take a break even as a member of the gym for at least four years.
The reasons to avoid gyms are simple: I couldn’t bear it any longer – that rigidity, unbearable smell, some strange figures with weird attitude to fitness and everything around. But I still realize that membership in gym is the most persistent way to be in good shape.
Though many people choose gyms as a place to take up fitness on regular basis, they can not be called the most suitable variant. Frankly speaking, if you wish to be fit, you do not need anything apart from your body (I’m sure there is one) and a sincere desire and motivation. So to avoid signing additional paychecks for your gym membership every months, evaluate possible drawbacks of modern gyms.
